While teaching privately for over twenty years, he has helped many students achieve college music scholarships and also led a public middle school jazz band to the NextGen Festival in Monterey several times. In 2012 he accepted a position as the solo trumpet player for the GRAMMY\u00a9 Award-winning band Train.
